How are grants assessed?

Grants are assessed as received by country of availability, and no further applications will be accepted once funding is fully allocated.

What projects would be financed?

Grant funds should be used for special business projects with specific timelines and budgets, not for normal operating expenses.

Contact your local BLP representative to request the full local grant criteria in your country and for assistance with your application.

What businesses would be considered for a small grant?

The small grants prioritise small business led by women, youth, people living with disabilities, indigenous and rural and community-based businesses.

What projects are prioritised for a growth grant?

Projects that promote social inclusion and investments in climate adaptation are encouraged and prioritised for funding.

How does the Co-investment fund (CIF) work?

To be eligible, applicants must contribute matching funds toward project implementation. These funds may come from business savings, loans, or other approved finance options.

The CIF is designed to improve SMEs’ access to finance and investment opportunities. It offers targeted support through professional business advisors and services that assist businesses to develop project ideas, strengthen proposals, and explore suitable financing options.
